It’s no surprise that KTVB is promoting and running cover for another liberal organization, this one dedicated to going after school choice and anything that doesn’t stuff more money into the failing education system.
KTVB turned far left long ago, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that they are running cover for a new liberal non-profit called “Save Our Schools Idaho.” The group is touring the state to talk to voters about how bad they believe HB 93, the school choice bill, will be for Idaho taxpayers.
Here is how KTVB chose to describe the non-profit:
“…is a social welfare organization made up of veteran public school workers and champions dedicated to providing data and information to Idahoans about Education Savings Accounts, vouchers and other policies that do not support public schools.”
Being the SOSI and getting friendly press coverage from Idaho’s largest news organization must be nice. It must be nice not being called “far-left” or “radical” or some other “derogatory” term by the media.
The ISAA has done tours across the state without media coverage.
You would have thought KTVB would have asked more questions about the organization itself. The SOSI website does not list any board members or officers, and we don’t even know who is running its operations.
The Idaho Parent Teacher Association President, Alexis Morgan, is on the tour panel. However, the article does not clarify her role with SOSI, if any. Did she start it? Is she just a board member? Or was she just asked to be on the panel?
Those all seem like questions KTVB would have had for an article pushing a brand-new non-profit.
But who has time for questions when a liberal effort is underway?
